Air Conditioning Technician

• Install
  split, cassette, ducted, VRV/VRF, package units, and other HVAC systems
  
• Perform
  piping, brazing, pressure testing, vacuuming, and refrigerant charging
  
• Install
  electrical control wiring and associated equipment
  
• Ensure
  installations comply with SANS standards and manufacturer's specifications
  
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance
  
• Clean and replace filters, coils, fans, and
  other components
  
• Inspect systems for performance, efficiency,
  and potential failures
  
• Maintain accurate maintenance records
  
• Diagnose faults in air conditioning and
  refrigeration systems
  
• Repair or replace defective components
  including compressors, motors, capacitors, contactors, thermostats, and control
  systems
  
• Perform leak detection and refrigerant
  recovery procedures
  
• Test and commission completed repairs
  

Requirements

• Grade
  12
  
• HVAC,
  Refrigeration, or Air Conditioning Qualification
  
• Refrigerant
  Handling Certification advantageous
  
• Minimum 1-3
  years' experience in air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance and repairs
  
• Valid
  drivers license
