Architectural Council Submission Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Architect / Architectural Technologist specialising in municipal submissions and council approvals.

The successful candidate will focus on preparing compliant submission documentation, ensuring adherence to municipal requirements, and managing the approval process from submission through to final approval.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare working drawings, site plans, elevations, and sections for municipal submissions.
  
• Review documentation against zoning regulations, SANS 10400, building regulations, and land-use requirements.
  
• Compile complete submission packages and supporting documentation.
  
• Submit applications and track progress with municipal departments.
  
• Manage council queries, update drawings, and resolve approval delays.
  
• Coordinate with engineers, town planners, and other consultants.
  

Requirements

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Architecture or Architectural Technology.
  
• SACAP registration with the required category to sign off plans.
  
• 3–5 years’ experience managing municipal submissions and approval processes.
  
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, or ArchiCAD.
  
• Strong knowledge of building regulations, zoning bylaws, and municipal procedures.
  
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
