Job Purpose:
To assist in preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and light snacks while providing excellent customer service in a welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
⢠Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, including espressos, cappuccinos, lattes, and more.
⢠Create and serve delicious smoothies and other specialty drinks.
⢠Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee and preparation areas, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
⢠Monitor stock levels, perform stock takes, and assist in ordering supplies when needed.
⢠Greet customers with a friendly and approachable attitude, taking orders and ensuring customer satisfaction.
⢠Operate and maintain coffee machines and other equipment.
⢠Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as serving pastries or other light menu items.
⢠Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
⢠Work collaboratively with team members to create a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
⢠Adhere to health and safety standards at all times.
⢠Be proactive in identifying and addressing any operational or customer service issues.
⢠Support other general duties as required to ensure smooth daily operations.
Requirements
⢠Matric Certificate (preferred).
⢠At least 3 years of barista experience.
⢠A passion for coffee, customer service, and creating positive experiences for customers.
⢠Outgoing, fun personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
⢠Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
⢠Ability to multitask and take initiative when needed.
⢠Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
⢠Willing to travel to Brooklyn Cape Town, 7am - 4pm - Monday to Friday.
