Cloud Support Engineer

Remote Recruitment is hiring a Cloud Support Engineer to support and optimise cloud infrastructure for a UK-based technology business. Fully remote from South Africa, you'll manage cloud environments, resolve incidents, and contribute to infrastructure-as-code initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and optimise cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Respond to and resolve cloud infrastructure incidents and alerts
• Implement and manage cloud security controls and access management
• Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or similar
• Document architecture decisions and maintain runbooks for operational processes

What You'll Need

• 3+ years of cloud engineering or cloud support experience
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP — certification is a plus
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Understanding of containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes
• Reliable fibre internet and a dedicated home workspace

• Salary: R33,000 per month
• Full-time, permanent remote position
• Working hours: 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST)
