Job Description - Commis chef

De Baba is a popular restaurant based in Melville. We make everything from scratch and use the best ingredients out there. We are looking for someone who deeply cares about flavour and food. Main responsibilities include will be:

- working on the line

- stock rotation and minimising waste

- upholding all health and safety requirements

- reporting such as daily stock take and wastage reports

Requirements

- must live close by and have own transport

- must have previous experience in a hot kitchen

- must be able to stand for long periods of time

- must love food and cooking

- must respect all health and safety regulation

- must be honest and able to take accountability

- must be open to learning. No rock stars please!
