Contracts Manager

Our client, a leading mining technology and drilling solutions business, is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to lead drilling operations. The role is responsible for safe project delivery, operational performance, financial results, client satisfaction, and workforce leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (NOT LIMITED TO)

Lead day-to-day contract operations across mining, drilling and raise-bore projects.

Manage operational budgets, cost control, resources, equipment and workforce performance.

Ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably and in line with contractual requirements.

Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and community stakeholders.

Drive SHEQ compliance, risk management and continuous operational improvement.

Coordinate multidisciplinary support functions and provide accurate operational reporting.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12 / Matric.

Diploma or Degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Business Management or a related field.

8–10 years’ experience in mining, drilling, construction or heavy industrial operations.

At least 5 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role.

Strong experience in contract management, operational budgeting and multidisciplinary team leadership.

Valid driver’s licence, medical fitness for mining operations and willingness to travel between sites.

Advanced English communication skills.

Raise-boring operational experience.

FIDIC contract-management training.

Project, financial, labour-relations or leadership qualifications.

Mine Manager’s Certificate.
