Copy Writer

Our client is seeking a talented and versatile Senior Copywriter to join their creative team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of compelling, audience-first content across multiple channels – from brand campaigns to digital, CRM, and beyond. The successful candidate will bring both strategic thinking and a sharp editorial voice to every brief, while contributing meaningfully to creative direction and team culture.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of copywriting experience within an agency or in-house creative environment
• A strong and demonstrable portfolio showcasing work across a range of categories and formats
• Exceptional command of written English; multilingual ability (including South African languages) will be advantageous
• Proven experience writing for digital platforms, social media, and content marketing
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and thrive under tight deadlines
• Relevant tertiary qualification in copywriting, communications, journalism, or marketing (preferred)
• Familiarity with SEO principles and writing for search is advantageous

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualise and craft copy across ATL, BTL, digital, social, and CRM channels
• Translate brand strategy and creative briefs into clear, engaging, and on-brand messaging
• Collaborate closely with art directors, designers, and strategists throughout the creative process
• Manage multiple projects and competing deadlines simultaneously without compromising quality
• Mentor and guide junior copywriters, reviewing output for consistency and quality
• Maintain, develop, and evolve brand tone of voice guidelines
• Contribute meaningfully to pitches, presentations, and new business initiatives
• Stay current with industry trends, digital best practices, and emerging content formats
