Cost & Management Accountant

Malander is currently seeking immediately available Cost & Management Accountants with corporate or commercial experience to join our network of finance professionals for multiple contractual opportunities across a range of industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts


• Monitor and control standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation


• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes


• Analyse product/service costing and margin performance


• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journals and reconciliations


• Prepare cost reports and management information for senior stakeholders


• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis


• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support process improvement initiatives


• Liaise with operational departments to ensure accuracy of cost data


• Contribute to the improvement of financial controls and processes


• Collaborate with finance teams and business stakeholders to support operational and strategic decision-making

Requirements:

• BCom in Accounting, Cost & Management Accounting, or related field


• CIMA qualification (completed or in progress) advantageous


• 3–5 years' relevant experience in a cost/management accounting role within a corporate or commercial environment


• Strong understanding of costing methodologies and management reporting


• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; ERP experience (SAP, Sage, or Oracle) advantageous


• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities
