THE ROLE: COUNTRY MANAGER
The Country Manager is responsible for leading the in-country commercial operation and ensuring the local office executes against company standards, revenue goals, culture, compliance expectations, and operating cadence.
This is the senior local leadership role responsible for day-to-day country performance, office accountability, cross-functional coordination, country-level execution, and escalation support.
The Country Manager does not replace functional leadership. SDRs, SDR Managers, and SDR Directors retain clear commercial reporting lines. The role provides local leadership while working alongside functional leaders to ensure effective country-level execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the senior local leader for the country office.
- Ensure the in-person office operates with strong discipline, attendance, productivity, and culture.
- Coordinate across SDR, Sales, Delivery, People/HR, Finance, and Operations locally.
- Support country-level hiring, onboarding, employee engagement, and retention.
- Ensure local managers maintain performance standards and escalate issues early.
- Partner with functional leaders to remove blockers affecting revenue, staffing, tools, compliance, or operations.
- Represent the company locally with employees, partners, vendors, and selected customers or prospects.
- Own the country-level operating cadence, including weekly leadership meetings and performance reviews.
- Monitor country-level headcount, cost, productivity, and office effectiveness.
- Ensure company policies are applied consistently within the local office.
- Support local compliance, employment, facilities, and vendor coordination in partnership with central teams.
- Provide country-level reporting to executive leadership.
- Maintain accountability for local execution quality, not only commercial output.
- Monitor country revenue or pipeline contribution, where applicable.
- Monitor country headcount plan attainment.
- Monitor employee retention and engagement.
- Maintain office attendance and operating discipline.
- Monitor local hiring and onboarding effectiveness.
- Drive cross-functional issue resolution.
- Maintain cost control and budget discipline.
- Ensure compliance with company policies.
- Monitor local manager effectiveness.
- Ensure executive reporting accuracy.
ABOUT YOU
- 7–10+ years of experience in country leadership, general management, sales leadership, operations leadership, or professional services management.
- Experience leading in-person teams.
- Strong commercial understanding, ideally across sales, customer delivery, operations, and people management.
- Experience working within a matrix organisation with both local and global reporting lines.
- Strong understanding of local employment norms, office operations, and business culture.
- Strong executive communication skills.
- Able to lead locally while respecting functional reporting lines.
- Strong judgment, maturity, and escalation discipline.
- Comfortable managing ambiguity and cross-functional priorities.
- Strong people leadership and culture-building capability.
- Commercially literate and operationally disciplined.
- Able to identify performance, morale, compliance, or execution risks early.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Able to represent the company credibly with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in SaaS, ERP, CRM, professional services, B2B technology, or consulting is preferred.
