Crane Service Technician
Job Purpose
To perform electrical preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, retrofits, installations, and commissioning of cranes and hoists across multiple customer sites. This role ensures all lifting equipment meets statutory and safety standards, maintaining optimal performance and compliance at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct electrical planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs on overhead cranes and hoists at customer locations.
Perform detailed post-repair audits to verify safety compliance and operational reliability.
Identify deficiencies, tag equipment accordingly, and document corrective recommendations.
Provide customers with accurate service reports, safety notifications, and improvement proposals.
Comply with all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation, site regulations, and company safety procedures.
Report hazards, incidents, and near-misses promptly and accurately.
Participate in health, safety, and quality initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
Perform additional tasks aligned with operational and business objectives.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 3 - 5 years of field service experience within crane maintenance or heavy industrial lifting equipment environments.
Proven working technical knowledge of cranes and related lifting systems.
Comprehensive understanding of SHEQ practices and legislation.
W@H certification required before employment.
