Working Hours (UK Hours): Monday – Thursday: 9:00am – 5:00pm / Friday: 9:00am – 3:30pm

Flexible lunch break between 12:00pm – 2:00pm

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Credit Control Manager to lead our Credit Control function from our Century City office. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven finance professional with proven recruitment industry experience who is passionate about leading high -performing teams, improving processes, and ensuring healthy cash flow across an international customer portfolio.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the credit control function, managing a team responsible for collections, customer account management, reconciliations, and payment allocations while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring best -in -class service. This role requires a proactive, self -motivated individual who thrives in a fast -paced recruitment environment and has experience working with international ledgers, multiple currencies, client portals, and self -billing arrangements.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Credit Control team, ensuring high performance and achievement of departmental KPIs.
  • Oversee the end -to -end credit control function across UK and international customer accounts.
  • Manage customer ledgers and ensure timely collection of outstanding debt.
  • Monitor team performance, workload distribution, and collection strategies to maximise cash flow.
  • Review and approve payment allocations, reconciliations, credit limits, and account adjustments.
  • Manage self -billing allocations and ensure accurate reconciliation of self -billed invoices.
  • Oversee client portal activity, ensuring invoices, remittances, and supporting documentation are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Manage international ledgers across multiple currencies, ensuring accurate allocation, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Set up and maintain payment terms on the Invoice Finance (IF) platform.
  • Conduct credit risk assessments and monitor customer credit limits.
  • Resolve complex customer queries and escalated account disputes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, finance teams, and key internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the sales, payroll, and finance teams to ensure seamless account management.
  • Produce regular debtor, cash flow, and aged debt reports for senior management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and operational efficiencies across the Credit Control function.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and audit requirements.







Requirements


  • Previous Credit Control management or Team Lead experience is essential.
  • Previous experience within a recruitment agency or international recruitment business is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing a Credit Control team.
  • Strong experience managing high -volume debtor ledgers within a recruitment environment.
  • Experience working with client portals and customer invoicing platforms.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with self -billing allocations.
  • Experience managing international ledgers and multi -currency accounts.
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero is essential.
  • Excellent understanding of accounts receivable, reconciliations, credit management, and cash flow processes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
  • A proactive, self -motivated individual who can work independently and take ownership of the Credit Control function.
  • Strong analytical and problem -solving abilities with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and perform under pressure in a fast -paced environment.
