Delivery Lead

THE ROLE To hold delivery governance across the engagement portfolio in one person: project management on Standard and Enterprise tier engagements, workstream leadership where scale demands it, and the quality gates. This is also the delivery leadership role into which the Zoho Consultant ladder feeds. WHAT YOU WILL DO - Own delivery governance on Standard and Enterprise tier engagements: planning, RAID management, reporting, commercial tracking, and the governance escalation point named in the delivery specifications. - Lead workstreams on engagements large enough to split into streams. - Own the quality gates: test strategy sign-off and release readiness decisions. Test design and execution remain with the delivery team. - Run the engagement governance cadence: weekly status, monthly steering committee, quarterly review. - Manage change control and confirm commercial impact with the Engagement Lead or account roles. - Coordinate the delivery team across Consultants, Developers, Business Analysts, and Architects, resolving resourcing conflicts with the practice leads. - Maintain a defensible audit trail across every engagement: decisions, changes, approvals, escalations. WHAT YOU NEED - Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. - PRINCE2 Practitioner certification, or equivalent. PMP, Agile PM, or SAFe certification is an advantage. - Substantial experience delivering technology projects to external clients, including multi-stream engagements and projects of at least R5 million in value or equivalent complexity. - Experience owning quality gates: test strategy sign-off, release readiness, and defect governance. - Experience in a consulting environment with multiple concurrent engagements. - Experience across both platform configuration and bespoke development engagements is an advantage. WHERE THE BOUNDARIES SIT Light tier engagements remain coordinated by the Zoho Consultant. Architecture decisions remain with solutions leadership. Delivery authority is not design authority. Client commercial ownership remains with the Engagement Lead or account roles where assigned. HOW THIS ROLE EVOLVES This role exists because Centrax is growing into its target structure. Centrax is concurrently advertising Project Manager (JS04) as a dedicated position. As dedicated Project Manager and Quality Assurance appointments are made, this role evolves toward portfolio-level delivery leadership, with Engagement Lead as the natural next position. Candidates who apply for the specialist role may also be considered for this one, and the reverse. The evolution path is written into the role rather than left to chance. WORKING ARRANGEMENTS Standard working hours of 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, with flexibility around critical milestones, client steering committees, and incident response. Hybrid working in line with company policy. Travel to client sites is part of the role. Standard 21 days annual leave and BCEA leave entitlements apply.
