Job Description - Disptach Foreman

Our client is looking for a reliable and hands-on Dispatch Foreman to manage dispatch activities in the yard and ensure units are prepared, controlled and dispatched in line with operational targets and quality standards. The Dispatch Foreman will be responsible for coordinating receiving, stock control, yard activities, quality checks and dispatch preparation while leading subordinates effectively in a busy manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Receive and dispatch stock.

Manage and control cleaning, sealing, preparation for loading and dispatch once units exit the factories.

Monitor stock levels and report stock-related matters timeously.

Conduct weekly inventory checks of finished goods and loose components in the yard.

Conduct stock takes, including cycle counts, and maintain accurate records.

Manage quality control of units and ensure identified snags are completed.

Lead and manage subordinates.

Reduce waste on materials, parts and operational efficiency.

Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.

Control access to the yard and offices.

Requirements

Matric.

Operations, logistics or related diploma.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position within a construction or manufacturing environment.

Experience in dispatch and transport will be advantageous.

Receiving and dispatching stock.

Stock management.
