DRIVERS AND TRUCK ASSISTANTS

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations Management
Render effective and efficient motor vehicle driver services.
Transport scientific staff to undertake field duties in execution of the geoscience technical programme.
Assist scientific staff in collection and curation of geoscience data.
Drive light and medium motor vehicles to transport CGS staff, stakeholders and to deliver other goods and other.
Ensure timeous delivery and collection of staff to and from designated areas.
Ensure timeous execution of the daily transportation schedule as agreed.
Manage changes and unforeseen obstacles that impact daily transportation schedules and consult with the Manager or Supervisor when necessary.
Ensure that any subsequent changes are communicated to stakeholders timeously.
Adhere to all traffic rules and regulations as well as safety requirements.
Complete all the required and prescribed records and logbooks with regards to the motor vehicle and items or goods handled in a timely manner.
