Job Title: eCommerce SEO Product Description Copywriter
Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled eCommerce SEO Content Writer who specialises
in crafting high -converting, search -optimised product descriptions. This role goes
beyond basic copywriting — you will be responsible for creating unique, persuasive,
and SEO -driven product content that ranks well on Google and converts visitors into
customers.
You must understand how to balance search intent, user experience, and
conversion psychology while adhering to modern SEO best practices, including E -
E -A -T principles.
Key Responsibilities
Product Content Creation
â Rewrite supplier -provided product descriptions into 100% unique, original
content
â Develop product descriptions that emphasise benefits over features
â Apply a problem–solution framework to position products effectively
â Write in a tone that is engaging, persuasive, and aligned with the target
audience
SEO Optimisation
â Incorporate transactional (commercial) search intent throughout all product
content
â Conduct and apply semantic (LSI) keyword optimisation
â Create:
â Optimised Title Tags (with primary keyword + intent modifier)
â Meta Descriptions designed to improve CTR
â Structure content using proper heading hierarchy (H1, H2, H3)
E -E -A -T Implementation
â Ensure all content reflects Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and
Trustworthiness
â Write with credibility, clarity, and factual accuracy
â Where relevant, include trust signals within content
Conversion -Focused Content Elements
â Ability to write relevant, product -specific FAQs that address customer
objections and support SEO performance
â Ability to create authentic, human -like customer reviews that build trust and
credibility
â Ability to optimise content for conversions, ensuring it drives sales—not just
search rankings
Required Skills & Experience
â Proven experience in eCommerce product description writing
â Strong understanding of on -page SEO and search intent
â Ability to write conversion -focused copy
â Experience with keyword research and semantic SEO
â Excellent command of English (grammar, tone, clarity)
â Ability to consistently produce original, non -duplicated content
Bonus Skills (Advantageous)
â Experience with platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, or Magento
â Understanding of technical SEO fundamentals
â Knowledge of image optimisation best practices, including file sizing,
compression, naming conventions, and writing effective alt text for SEO and
accessibility
â Familiarity with AI -assisted writing tools (while maintaining human -quality
output)
â Experience working with product data feeds or supplier catalogs
â A technical or mechanical background, or proven experience writing about
technical/mechanical products (e.g. HVAC, tools, machinery, electrical
equipment, etc.)
