Job Description - Field Guide

Are you passionate about wildlife and eager to share your knowledge with guests? Game Reserve near Grahmastown is looking for enthusiastic and experienced Field Guides to join our dedicated team!

Key Responsibilities

Conduct informative and engaging game drives and extra guided activities
Ensure the absolute safety and comfort of guests at all times
Provide educational information about the ecosystem, wildlife behavior, and conservation efforts
Maintain vehicles and equipment in top condition
Assist in other reserve activities as required

Requirements

Qualifications: FGASA Level 2 preferred (Level 1 will be considered)
Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of guiding experience
Driving: Valid Professional Driver's Permit (PDP) & 4x4 driving experience
Safety: Valid First Aid Certificate (Level 1)
Skills: Trails Guide qualifications and associated skills are highly advantageous
Personality: Outgoing and engaging to enhance guest experiences

Additional Skills

Strong knowledge of local flora and fauna
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle complex situations calmly and effectively
A genuine passion for conservation and ecotourism
Unwavering professionalism at all times
