Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Field Guide to join a luxury private game lodge situated within the Welgevonden Reserve in Limpopo. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional safari experiences while maintaining a strong focus on guest safety, conservation and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  Conduct informative and engaging game drives for lodge guests.

  Provide guests with exceptional and personalised safari experiences.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Share accurate knowledge of wildlife, fauna, flora, ecology and the surrounding environment.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure the safety and comfort of guests throughout all activities.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Conduct game drives in accordance with reserve rules and lodge standards.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with bush walks and other guest activities where required and appropriately qualified.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain the safari vehicle and ensure it is clean, safe and well presented.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Build professional relationships with guests and create memorable experiences.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with guest transfers and general lodge duties when required.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Work closely with the lodge management and wider team to ensure seamless guest service.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Participate in conservation and environmental initiatives within the reserve.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and professional conduct.
  
  

  
  

Requirements:

• 
  

  FGASA qualification and relevant guiding experience.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Valid First Aid certification.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  PDP and valid driver's licence.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Previous experience within a luxury safari lodge or private game reserve is advantageous.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Strong knowledge of South African wildlife, bushveld ecology and conservation.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Passionate about guiding, wildlife and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Professional, confident and personable approach to guest interaction.

  Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

  Candidates must be comfortable working in a remote lodge environment.
  
  

  
  

Salary: R15,000 – R18,000 per month
