Field Guide | Luxury Safari Lodge | Marakele Park, Limpopo

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Field Guide to join a luxury safari lodge in Marakele Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional safari experiences while maintaining high standards of guest service and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  Conduct daily game drives and guided bush experiences for lodge guests.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Provide engaging and informative interpretation of the reserve’s wildlife, ecology, fauna and flora.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Deliver memorable, personalised and educational guest experiences.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure all game drives and activities are conducted safely and professionally.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain excellent knowledge of local wildlife, birdlife, conservation and the surrounding environment.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with bush walks and other guest activities where required and appropriately qualified.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain the safari vehicle and ensure it is clean, safe and well presented.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Conduct regular vehicle checks and report any maintenance requirements.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Build strong relationships with guests and provide attentive, personalised service.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with general lodge duties and guest activities when required.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Work closely with the lodge management and hospitality teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Uphold the lodge’s luxury service standards and professional image at all times.
  
  

  
  

Requirements:

• 
  

  FGASA qualification and relevant guiding credentials.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Valid First Aid qualification.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Valid driver’s licence.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Previous experience guiding within a luxury safari lodge or game reserve environment.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Strong knowledge of South African wildlife, ecology and conservation.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Passion for wildlife, conservation and the safari industry.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Professional, friendly and guest-focused approach.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to work independently as well as within a team.

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience.
