Job Description - Field Sales Team Lead





Location: On-site / Field-based



  



Reports to: Sales Manager

Job Overview

Nxatel is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Field Sales Team Lead to manage and grow our on-the-ground sales presence. The ideal candidate will lead a team of field sales representatives, drive sign sales performance to meet revenue targets, and ensure the highest levels of professionalism and compliance with Nxatel’s code of conduct.

Key Responsibilities

●       Lead, coach, and manage a team of field sales representatives to meet monthly and quarterly sign sales targets.

●       Ensure each team member is accountable for signing up new clients and closing deals in the field.

●       Personally drive and close sign sales for high-value accounts and priority opportunities.

●       Develop sales strategies and daily canvassing plans for business districts, SME hubs, and under-served areas.

●       Support recruitment, training, and onboarding of new field agents to accelerate sign sales capability.

●       Conduct regular performance reviews, field visits, and team training to improve conversion rates.

●       Track and report on individual and team sales performance with a focus on sign-up metrics.

●       Maintain CRM records of signed customers, documentation, and contract compliance.

●       Uphold and enforce Nxatel’s disciplinary code, ensuring team compliance with all conduct standards.

●       Collaborate with the support and admin team to ensure seamless post-sign-up activation.

 

Work Environment:

- This role typically works in an office environment and may be required to work extra hours during end-of-month, quarterly or yearly close, or during times of financial audits or budget preparations. Add value to our growing company.






Requirements





Minimum Requirements


●       Matric certificate (essential); further qualifications in business or sales are an advantage.


●       At least 2 years of sales experience, including 1 year in a leadership or team supervisory role.


●       Demonstrated success in closing sign sales or contracts in a B2B environment.


●       Confident communicator with persuasive presentation and negotiation skills.


●       Basic CRM proficiency and reporting capabilities.


●       Self-motivated, professional, and target-driven.


●       Driver’s license and own vehicle preferred.

Benefits


Remuneration

●       Basic Salary: R12,000 per month

●       Commission: Uncapped, based on signed deals
