This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Financial Analyst based in South Africa.
This role offers the opportunity to support strategic decision-making through high-quality financial analysis in a dynamic, fully remote environment. You will play a key role in transforming financial data into actionable insights that guide business performance, growth, and operational efficiency. Working closely with cross-functional teams and leadership, you will contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. The position is ideal for someone who thrives in data-driven environments and enjoys working with complex datasets to uncover trends and opportunities. You will be involved in performance monitoring, variance analysis, and the development of financial models that support long-term business objectives. Accountabilities
- Analyze financial data and produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to support business decision-making.
- Develop financial models, forecasts, and budgets to guide strategic planning and performance tracking.
- Monitor key financial and operational KPIs, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct variance analysis to evaluate deviations between actual and projected performance.
- Support leadership with financial presentations, dashboards, and actionable insights.
- Contribute to cash flow forecasting, expense tracking, and profitability analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, sales, and executive stakeholders.
- Recommend improvements to financial processes, reporting systems, and data accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or corporate finance.
- Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including advanced modeling capabilities.
- Experience in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems such as NetSuite, Xero, QuickBooks, or SAP is an advantage.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
- Experience in SaaS, FinTech, eCommerce, or startup environments is a plus.
