Description

Purpose

Provide business analysis and financial support that enables management to make cost effective business decisions and prepare management reports.

What you'll be doing

PERFORMANCE REPORTING
•    Provide analytical and financial support to Supply and Wholesale Division
•    Develop and produce reporting analytics to clearly identify key trends or issues that necessitate further analysis or course correction, detailed analysis of landed cost differential to Basic Fuel Price (BFP) components, fob, freight, demurrage, insurance, etc.
•    Liaise with Supply & Trading and Enterprise Optimisation Teams on imports and third-party activities to ensure correctness of accounting
•    Ensuring accuracy of Trading Database, source for the Replacement Cost Operating Profit (RCOP) MODEL, ensuring accuracy of daily reporting for sourcing costs and third-party deals


FINANCIAL AND MANAGEMENT REPORTING
•    Analysis of all balance sheet movements, including cash flow and working capital
•    Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
•    Reconciliation of inventory from lifting plan, vs forecast and actual
•    Unrealized foreign currency exchange revaluations (General Ledger [GL] & Customer accounts)


ASSET MANAGEMENT
•    Provide support to the division for the implementation of capital projects


PROJECT ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION
•    Evaluate financial and non-financial benefits for identified projects


BUSINESS PLANNING, BUDGETING & FORECASTING 
•    Assist with the business planning process
•    Prepare all the relevant business planning & budget inputs from Divisional departments for the development of the business plan in line with divisional strategy
•    Prepare and support the presentation layer of Business planning process to stakeholders
•    Prepare monthly forecast for the Division comprehending latest business environment and trends
•    Provide key inputs for the Replacement Cost Operation Profit model (RCOP), ensuring accuracy of daily forecast inputs



Requirements

What you have done before

  • NQF Level 7 (Degree in Finance or Commerce)
  • 4 years’ accounting experience at a Specialist Level
  • 2 years’ experience in Financial Analysis

Advantageous

  • CA (SA)
  • 2 years Analytics
  • Cost Accounting experience
