Housekeeping Manager Permanent

Are you a hands-on housekeeping leader who takes pride in spotless lodges and a well-run team? We're recruiting on behalf of a hospitality establishment looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to keep their guest lodges, public areas, and laundry running like clockwork.

What you'll need:

• Grade 12
• 2–3 years' housekeeping management experience (or similar) within hospitality is preferred
• A natural ability to lead, coordinate, and motivate a team
• Strong communication skills
• Self-discipline and a good eye for detail
• A hands-on, lead-by-example approach

What you'll be doing:

• Overseeing the day-to-day running of the housekeeping department in line with company standards
• Conducting regular inspections of laundry, public areas, and lodges
• Managing, supporting, and guiding housekeeping staff
• Briefing the team at the start of each shift on duties and departmental updates
• Setting the standard for appearance, hygiene, and professionalism in uniform and conduct
• Making sure guest lodges and public areas are always guest-ready — clean, hygienic, and well-presented
• Reporting maintenance and repair issues and following up to ensure they're actioned
• Coaching and training staff on the job to keep skills sharp
• Keeping a positive, courteous, and professional attitude at all times
• Anticipating and responding to guest needs quickly and efficiently
• Resolving guest complaints promptly and escalating where needed
• Conducting monthly stock takes and keeping accurate linen and consumable stock records
• Flagging any policy breaches to senior management
• Following reasonable instructions from management
