We have an amazing opportunity for Junior Business Finance Analyst to be based in Umhlanga. Do you think you have what it takes to be our newest Purple Star? 

The Junior Business Finance Analyst is responsible for assisting the broader analyst team in supporting the finance and operations (where applicable) teams through financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, return on investment assessments, feasibility assessments, financial modelling, commercial modelling, valuations, project implementation, template creation, transaction advisory (investments, private equity, venture capital) and data-driven insights. The role assists management in making informed business decisions by analysing financial performance, identifying trends and maintaining (including reporting) accurate financial information. In addition, the role will also be responsible for providing ad doc assistance with group wide/specific projects, group wide/specific tasks and elements of financial management (where applicable).

• 0-3 years experience in finance, accounting, audit or analyst role. 
• Studying towards Relevant Degree/Diploma in Finance/Accounting/Commerce such as [BComm, BComm Honors, CA (SA), SAIPA, CFA, CIMA] 

What You’ll Do for The Brand: 

Analyst Function

• Assist with inputs, research and data for budgeting, forecasting and actual results analysis.
• Assist with inputs, research and data relating to valuations (investment property, business etc).
• Assist with inputs, research and data for investment analysis/appraisals, business case studies, financial analysis, financial modelling, ratio analysis, financial statement analysis, return on investment, internal rate of return, cost benefit analysis, cash flow analysis and power point presentations.
• Assist with inputs, research and data for capital allocation and capital projects assessments.
• Assist with inputs, research and data for commercial modelling and data driven insights.
• Assist with inputs, research and data for profitability analysis, cost analysis and related improvement plans for profitability and cost reduction.
• Assist with financial information (sourcing, extracting, preparation, reporting, summaries, analysis) and research as and when needed.
• Assist with financial due diligence, commercial due diligence and related audit work/assessments with regards to the purchasing or selling of businesses, including private equity and venture capital transactions. 
• Assist with the regular updating inputs, research and data with regards to models and reporting that support management, executive and board-level decision making.
• Assist with ad hoc research, reporting, tasks, assessments and projects.
