Junior Laser Technician

This role is that of a Junior Service Technician.

Training will be provided.

The company is a supplier of laser equipment.

After-sales support is their main priority.

Your duties as a laser technician will involve manually maintaining, repairing, and building laser equipment.

This is an entry level position suited to someone who has some basic training in electrical or electronics and is computer literate.

Training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Assemble machines for dispatch to customers.

Diagnose and troubleshoot faults on machines.

Repair machines within the factory or on customer sites.

The successful candidate will be well groomed and able to conduct himself in a professional manner always aware that he represents the company and the values of the company.

Requirements

Trustworthy and well-groomed man.

First and second languages: English and Afrikaans.

Knowledge in electronic/electrical systems, fault detection, and electronic equipment repair would be advantageous.

Literate in computers

Able and willing to spend a few nights away from home when traveling widely (both domestically and internationally) - Valid passport and South African identification.

Valid driving license (code 8) and proficient driving abilities.

Strong communication abilities.

Optimal bodily and mental condition (moving and lifting heavy objects).

Basic understanding of tools (screwdrivers, drill, multimeter, soldering iron etc.)
