What you'll actually do
Wear gowns, masks and gloves as each room requires
Clean patient rooms using colour-coded cloths and mops for each area
Take soiled linen to the sluice room and bring clean linen back
Mop spills of blood or fluids using the spill kit
Fill in cleaning logs so infection control can audit the ward
Do terminal cleans of isolation rooms after a patient is discharged
