To develop and implement the business unit annual training plan in alignment with group and segment learning and development strategies, governance and methodologies

Are you someone who can:

  • Partner with stakeholders to develop an integrated Learning and Development plan aligned to business strategy.
  • Develop an in-depth training needs analysis aligned to business strategy and objectives.
  • Project manage the process to deliver solutions that meet business requirements including design, development, sourcing, and maintenance of learning solutions.
  • Use knowledge and expertise to ensure the most appropriate learning channels and methodologies are utilized in delivery of learning solutions.
  • Ensure development and continuous value add improvement to operational processes.
  • Benchmark learning solutions against industry and global trends.
  • Deliver customer experience excellence aligned to Organizational values and service standards.
  • Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration, and innovation
  • Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, legislative, policy and governance requirements in area of accountability.
  • Compile reports that track progress and guide business to make informed decisions.
  • Provide input into the budget and manage and report on budget usage that reflects delivery of planned work within agreed parameters.
  • Manage the team’s performance and delivery against the learning plan and their achievement of goals and objectives.
  • Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own and employee development.

You will be an ideal candidate if you have:

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills to gain buy-in and reduce resistance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce or HR, Training, Psychology, Education, or related field
  • 2–5 years’ experience in Learning & Development or Talent Development
  • Instructional design certification advantageous (e.g., ATD, CIPD, Skills Development Facilitator)
  • Experience with digital learning technologies, virtual facilitation, and content creation tools

  • Create training content (e-learning, workshops, job aids, toolkits, and blended learning modules).
  • Develop leadership, technical, compliance, and behavioral learning interventions.
  • Facilitate training sessions (classroom, virtual, hybrid).
  • Coach employees and managers to drive behavioural change and performance improvement.
  • Support onboarding and talent development programs.
  • Coordinate logistics (venues, calendars, vendors, attendance, evaluations).
