Legal Assistant

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and professional Legal Assistant to provide comprehensive legal, administrative, research, and governance support within a fast-paced political environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Political Representatives through effective legal research, legislative analysis, governance support, compliance monitoring, and stakeholder engagement.

• Provide professional legal and administrative support to Political Representatives.
  
• Conduct legal research and analysis on legislation, regulations, governance frameworks, public policy, and constitutional matters.
  
• Monitor legislative developments, legal amendments, government notices, and regulatory changes, providing relevant summaries and guidance.
  
• Draft legal correspondence, opinions, reports, briefing notes, memoranda, submissions, and governance-related documents.
  
• Assist with the interpretation and application of legislation, regulations, policies, and governance frameworks.
  
• Support the preparation of legal and policy submissions, parliamentary questions, motions, and governance-related documentation.
  
• Liaise professionally with members of the public, community stakeholders, government departments, regulatory bodies, and other organizations.
  
• Assist with constituency matters involving legal, governance, regulatory, or administrative concerns.
  
• Support parliamentary, legislature, committee, compliance, and governance-related processes.
  
• Maintain accurate records, legal documents, case files, databases, and confidential information in accordance with governance requirements.
