Job Summary:

Magnum ICC SA (Pty) Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Local Supply Chain Lead – Warehousing to oversee and optimize all warehousing operations within our local supply chain. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient inventory management, timely order fulfillment, and cost-effective storage solutions to support our business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

* Manage and supervise all day-to-day warehousing activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods.
* Implement and maintain robust inventory control systems to ensure accuracy, minimize discrepancies, and optimize stock levels.
* Develop and enforce warehousing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
* Lead, train, and mentor a team of warehouse personnel, fostering a productive and safe working environment.
* Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to maximize efficiency and storage capacity.
* Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure seamless integration of warehousing operations within the broader supply chain.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehousing efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
* Oversee the maintenance and effective operation of warehouse equipment and machinery.
* Prepare and analyze performance reports, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.
* Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and other external stakeholders as required.

Job Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in warehousing or logistics management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
* Proven track record of optimizing warehousing operations and implementing efficiency improvements.
* Strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse management systems (WMS).
* Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
* Knowledge of local health and safety regulations pertinent to warehousing operations.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
