Lodge Manager – Luxury Safari Lodge | Sabi Sands, Mpumalanga

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Lodge Manager for a luxury safari lodge situated in the prestigious Sabi Sands, Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the lodge, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining the high standards expected within a luxury safari environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the lodge, ensuring all departments function efficiently and professionally.
  
  


• Maintain exceptional luxury service standards and consistently exceed guest expectations.
  
  


• Lead, motivate and manage the lodge team, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
  
  


• Monitor staff performance, training and development to ensure consistent operational standards.
  
  


• Manage guest relations and handle queries, requests and concerns with professionalism and discretion.
  
  


• Work closely with departmental heads to ensure smooth communication and coordination across all areas of the lodge.
  
  


• Assist with stock control, budgeting, cost management and general financial administration.
  
  


• Ensure all lodge facilities, rooms and public areas are maintained to an exceptional standard.
  
  


• Uphold health, safety, hygiene and operational procedures throughout the property.
  
  


• Build strong relationships with guests and ensure personalised, memorable experiences.
  
  


• Assist with implementing and maintaining lodge policies and procedures.
  
  


• Support the overall management team in achieving operational and guest satisfaction targets.
  
  

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a Lodge Manager or senior lodge management position within a luxury safari or hospitality environment.
  
  


• Strong operational and leadership skills.
  
  


• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  
  


• A hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.
  
  


• Strong guest relations and problem-solving skills.
  
  


• Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
