Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and capable Lodge Manager to join a prestigious luxury private game reserve in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high operational standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the lodge, ensuring that all departments work cohesively and that guests receive consistently high levels of service.

  Oversee the daily operations of the lodge and ensure smooth coordination between all departments.

  Maintain exceptional standards of guest service, hospitality and overall presentation.

  Lead, motivate and manage the lodge team, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure operational procedures, service standards and lodge policies are consistently followed.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Manage guest relations and handle any queries or concerns professionally and efficiently.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with staff scheduling, training and performance management.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor stock levels, ordering and general lodge requirements.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Work closely with management to ensure operational and financial targets are achieved.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain strong communication with suppliers, staff and relevant stakeholders.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure the lodge remains well maintained, presented and fully operational at all times.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Take a hands-on approach to the daily running of the property and support the team wherever required.
  
  

  
  

Requirements:

• 
  

  Previous lodge management or senior hospitality management experience.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Experience within a luxury lodge, safari or game reserve environment will be highly advantageous.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent guest relations and communication skills.
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

  Ability to work effectively under pressure in a remote environment.
