Job Description - Logistics Administrator

We are looking for a highly organized and detail -oriented Logistics Administrator to join our Logistics team in Paarl. This role is ideal for someone with experience in the fruit export industry who thrives in a fast -paced environment and enjoys working with systems, documentation, and freight administration.

As a Logistics Administrator, you will play a critical role in supporting the sea freight team by maintaining accurate information on ERP and export systems, managing freight documentation, and ensuring smooth administrative processes throughout the export logistics cycle.

Key Performance Outputs

Documentation Management
  • Scrutinize and verify load -out documentation.
  • Check and validate export documentation.
  • Upload shipment documentation to the relevant shipment files within the system.
  • Follow up on outstanding loading documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records and filing of logistics documentation.
System Administration
  • Capture container loading details accurately in the ERP/export system.
  • Verify that the correct pallets have been loaded.
  • Create customs documentation and packing lists.
  • Capture and maintain temperature monitor information.
  • File loading documentation and loading photographs.
  • Ensure all relevant shipment fields and records are accurately maintained in the system.
Cost Management
  • Create and process purchase orders.
  • Review, reconcile, and process supplier and service provider invoices.
General Logistics Support
  • Assist the Freight Manager and logistics team with various logistics -related administrative tasks.
  • Support operational activities as required to ensure efficient export processes.


Requirements

Qualifications & Experience
  • Grade 12 / Senior Certificate / Matric.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience within the fruit industry.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working on ERP and/or export systems.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of the fruit export industry.
  • Understanding of export processes and documentation.
  • Experience working with ERP and export management systems.
  • Professional and effective email communication skills.
