Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager for a luxury game lodge in the Welgevonden area.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional with luxury lodge experience, a passion for the bush and strong operational abilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing maintenance operations across multiple properties, supporting lodge development and renovation projects, and assisting with guest hosting and guiding activities where required.

Key Responsibilities
⢠Oversee all maintenance operations and preventative maintenance programmes
⢠Ensure all lodge facilities, staff accommodation and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards
⢠Assist with the management and oversight of ongoing lodge renovation and development projects
⢠Coordinate contractors, suppliers and maintenance schedules
⢠Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance requirements
⢠Manage maintenance budgets, stock and equipment
⢠Ensure compliance with health, safety and operational standards
⢠Support lodge operations and guest experience initiatives
⢠Assist with guest hosting and guiding activities where required
⢠Provide hands-on support across all aspects of property maintenance
Requirements
⢠Previous maintenance management experience within a luxury lodge or hospitality environment
⢠Strong technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical and general maintenance systems
⢠Proven project management and renovation experience
⢠Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
⢠Previous experience working in remote lodge environments
⢠Strong organisational and communication skills
⢠Ability to manage contractors, suppliers and maintenance teams effectively
⢠Valid driver's licence essential
Advantageous
⢠Previous Big 5 guiding experience
⢠FGASA qualifications or guiding credentials
⢠Guest hosting experience within a luxury safari environment
⢠Knowledge of lodge operations and hospitality standards
⢠Experience overseeing large-scale property upgrades and development projects
