National Retail Operations Manager

A leading group in the fuel, retail, and food industry is looking for an experienced Senior National Retail Operations Manager to manage multiple sites, including filling stations, franchised fast-food restaurants, and supermarkets.

You will lead operations across several sites, build strong relationships with franchisees, and help shape a 5-year growth strategy. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will manage day-to-day operations while also driving long-term business goals.

What You'll Do

• Manage daily operations across fuel, retail, and food outlets
• Grow and maintain relationships with franchisees, suppliers, and customers
• Meet sales targets and manage budgets, GP margins, and stock levels
• Use data and reporting to track performance and fix problem areas
• Lead and develop teams across different regions
• Oversee new store openings, renovations, and expansions
• Ensure sites follow safety, brand, and franchise standards

What You'll Need

• A completed tertiary qualification
• Management-level experience in FMCG or retail (merchandising and operations)
• Strong financial skills – budgets, margins, and reporting
• Good computer skills (Excel/Sheets, and ideally SQL or BI tools)
• A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to sites regularly
• A clean, reliable, professional track record
• Strong leadership and people skills
• Good problem-solving under pressure
• Great communication with teams and stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once
• A results-driven, target-focused mindset
• Ability to manage and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
