Key Responsibilities
Continuously monitor network infrastructure to identify and respond to site and sector outages, performance degradation and connectivity issues.
Provide advanced technical support for complex network faults, including issues related to network quality, VPN, VoIP and cloud-based services.
Manage escalations by coordinating with internal teams and field engineers to ensure timely resolution of outages and service disruptions.
Support field teams with remote troubleshooting, device configuration and technical guidance as needed.
Monitor and manage network node capacity, proactively identifying saturation risks and coordinating client migrations and sector planning with infrastructure teams.
Maintain and update monitoring systems to ensure accurate and comprehensive network visibility.
Identify recurring faults and trends, implementing tracking measures and recommending long-term solutions.
Communicate network status updates clearly and promptly to relevant internal stakeholders at shift handovers and during incidents.
3 - 4 years' experience in a NOC environment with at least one recognised network qualification.
In-depth knowledge of IP networking, basic dynamic routing protocols and ISP network design, at a CCNP level of proficiency.
Hands-on experience with Mikrotik, Ubiquiti, Cambium, or related wireless vendors.
Sound understanding of PtMP wireless technologies, including 5GHz and 2.4GHz applications.
Strong understanding of network topology, including access and core network layers and the impact of failures across linked infrastructure.
Ability to quickly detect, diagnose and communicate the impact of network faults.
Confident in managing escalations independently and coordinating responses across technical teams.
Strong problem-solving skills with a calm and methodical approach under pressure.
The opportunity to grow both in your personal and professional capacity.
Health insurance and provident fund.
Access to an online wellness platform, providing free and confidential support from licensed therapists.
