Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join a luxury private game reserve in the Kruger National Park, Mpumalanga.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative pastry professional who takes pride in producing exceptional desserts, pastries and baked goods while contributing to a high-end guest experience in a unique safari environment.

Key responsibilities

  Preparing and producing a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, breads and baked goods

  Ensuring all pastry products are consistently presented to a luxury standard

  Assisting with menu planning and developing creative pastry offerings

  Preparing desserts and baked goods for daily guest meals and special occasions
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Ensuring all mise en place is completed efficiently and to a high standard
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Maintaining excellent food quality, portion control and presentation
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Managing pastry stock and assisting with ordering when required
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Minimising wastage and ensuring effective use of ingredients
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety

  Working closely with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service

  Assisting with special guest requests and dietary requirements where necessary
  
  

  
  

Requirements

• 
  

  Previous experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably within a luxury hospitality environment
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Relevant pastry or culinary qualification would be advantageous
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and production
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent attention to detail and presentation
