Professional Nurse - Medical and Cardiology

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

They lead and coordinate nursing teams to enable optimal patient care within our Medical and Cardiology Unit. 

The Professional Nurse, in collaboration with a multi-professional team, delivers safe, comprehensive, and quality nursing care according to their Scope of Practice regulations. 

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:

Diploma leading to registration as a General Nurse OR

4-year Nursing Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 

Proven experience as a Professional Nurse within a Medical and or Cardiology Unit

1. Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team


2. Identify, prevent, and manage risks to ensure patient safety


3. Facilitate a positive client experience by creating a conducive environment


4. Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions


5. Create a learning environment that builds staff competence


6. Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charted
