• People/Team Management – Delegating tasks and ensuring required operating procedures are followed;
  
• Quotes Processing – limiting company’s risk by ensuring accurate and complete pricing. Performing detailed, accurate, complex and profitable pricing on deals timeously;
  
• Administration – Receipt of RFQ’S/quote requests through the RFQ inboxes, passing on the information to the correct persons for immediate action;
  
• Communication and Reporting – Upwards with Commercial Manager as well as colleagues, sub -ordinates and Branch/Divisional Managers;
  
• Complete quotes /hi -light and query unusual information requests with relevant Product Manager or Sales Manager;
  
• Source item code from relevant Managers/Specialists if not provided;
  
• Maintain an accurate filing system with specific reference to quote/request, as well as updating of company schedules;
  
• Attend to general secretarial requirements as well as assist with Tenders when required;
  
• Effective screening of telephone calls, taking of accurate messages, complete RFQ, handle queries and if possible refer caller to someone who can assist;
  
• Saving and filing of quotes generated, hard copies and electronic copies, as needed;
  
• Improve and ensure quality of all quotes– appearance and content;
  
• Assist in completing SBD forms as and when required;
  
• Supervision and guidance of the Quotes Department Staff;
  
• Annual Performance Review and KPI’s for the team.
  

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail with accuracy essential;
  
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively;
  
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines;
  
• Good Staff management skills and interpersonal skills;
  
• Good Communications skills, both written and oral.
  
• 
  

• Previous Quotes experience is required;
  
• Excellent Excel Skills are required;
  
• Syspro or similar ERP system is required;
  
• Computer Literacy including Windows Operating Systems, MS Office, Internet & Email;
  
• Previous experience in overseeing and managing a small team would be advantageous.
