Own the day-to-day marketing execution across social media, paid advertising, email marketing, content, freemium lead generation and events.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client operates within the education sector, with school leaders and decision-makers as a key audience. LinkedIn is the primary platform for reaching this audience.
Events currently produce 50% of leads, with marketing required to amplify activity before and after events. The business has existing blogs, research and case studies that require packaging and repurposing across its marketing channels.
THE ROLE: MARKETING EXECUTIVE
The Marketing Executive will own the day-to-day marketing execution for youHQ. The role covers social content, paid advertising campaigns, email marketing, graphic design, freemium sign-ups and event coordination.
The role works alongside the SEO/website function and coordinates with the individual creating raw content. AI tools will be used extensively to generate ad copy variations, create content drafts, assist with design, analyse campaign performance and build email sequences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and post content across LinkedIn as the primary platform, as well as Instagram, X and Facebook.
- Maintain a minimum of 4–5 social media posts per week.
- Repurpose blogs, case studies and research into platform-native formats, including carousels, short videos and graphics.
- Engage with the education community through comments, shares and discussions.
- Draft posts for Jon Ford and Jez Belas’ personal LinkedIn presence for approval.
- Report monthly on reach, engagement, follower growth and leads.
- Plan and execute paid campaigns across LinkedIn and Meta, including Facebook and Instagram.
- Target school leaders, pastoral heads, wellbeing leads and SENCOs.
- Create ad variations, including copy and creative, using AI for testing.
- Manage budget allocation across platforms and campaigns.
- A/B test audiences, creatives and messaging.
- Report monthly on cost per lead, ROAS and pipeline contribution.
- Run retargeting campaigns for website visitors and freemium sign-ups.
- Create and send a monthly or fortnightly email newsletter.
- Build content-led nurture sequences for freemium sign-ups.
- Design email templates and campaigns.
- Support event marketing through pre-event awareness and post-event follow-up content.
- Create social media graphics using Canva or Figma.
- Design email headers, one-pagers and event materials.
- Write or edit blog posts and case studies using raw content provided and AI for drafts.
- Create short-form video content from event footage and webinars.
- Design landing pages alongside the SEO/website function.
- Complete basic website page design and updates.
- Manage the freemium sign-up funnel, drive registrations and optimise conversion.
- Create lead magnets, including guides, toolkits and templates for schools.
- Run awareness campaigns around key dates, including Mental Health Week and back-to-school.
- Track and report on marketing-sourced leads monthly.
- Research and identify relevant education events, conferences and exhibitions in the UK and internationally.
- Book event attendance, including stands, speaking slots and workshops.
- Manage all event logistics, including travel, accommodation, materials and stand setup.
- Coordinate pre-event marketing campaigns across email, social media and paid advertising.
- Manage post-event follow-up sequences and lead capture.
- Maintain the events calendar and ensure all logistics are confirmed at least four weeks before each event.
- Track event ROI, including leads generated, pipeline created and cost per lead by event.
- Liaise with event organisers regarding deadlines, deliverables and branding.
- Increase social media leads.
- Maintain consistent posting of 4–5 posts per week.
- Generate measurable pipeline through paid advertising.
- Increase email newsletter open rates.
- Grow LinkedIn engagement measurably.
- Run event awareness campaigns for every event.
ABOUT YOU
- A few years of experience would be considered for South African candidates.
- Strong graphic design skills, with Canva as a minimum and Figma or Adobe preferred.
- Paid social advertising experience using LinkedIn Ads and/or Meta Ads Manager.
- Social media management experience, particularly LinkedIn and Instagram.
- Email marketing experience using HubSpot, Mailchimp or similar.
- Good English copywriting skills with a warm, professional and non-corporate style.
- Basic video editing skills for short-form social media clips.
- Available during UK working hours or with significant overlap.
- Active AI user within marketing workflows.
- Experience in education, wellbeing or B2B SaaS marketing.
- Experience with WordPress or website builders.
- Understanding of the school buying cycle.
- Analytics and reporting capability using Google Analytics and HubSpot.
- Data security awareness.
- Experience using Canva/Figma, LinkedIn Ads Manager, Meta Ads Manager, HubSpot, Later/Buffer, Microsoft Workspace and ClickUp
