Job Description - Revenue Management Specialist

About the Business

Our client is a well-established specialist financial services firm with over 15 years in operation, providing credit management solutions to major credit grantors including banks and retailers. With a national footprint and offices across Southern Africa, the business employs over 2000 people and has a strategic partnership with a global development finance institution.

The culture is fast, commercial, and results-driven. They move quickly, make decisions decisively, and expect the same from their people.

About the Role

This is not a traditional finance role. As Revenue Management Specialist, you will work directly within the credit solutions division to build and grow the book, unlock new business opportunities, and develop relationships with clients and funders.

You will report to the Head of Department and work alongside a small, technically strong team. The mandate is commercial: find better ways to structure and deliver credit solutions, build pipelines, and contribute to real revenue growth.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the credit solutions space
  • Build and manage relationships with clients, suppliers, and credit customers
  • Operate across the full cash and credit cycle - understanding how money moves, not just how it's reported
  • Work with the team to structure and deliver credit solutions to new and existing clients
  • Find smarter, faster ways to grow the revenue line
  • Contribute to building out the business line with commercial discipline and entrepreneurial energy

What We're Looking For

  • A finance or commerce background (CA(SA), CIMA, BCom or equivalent)
  • Exposure to credit, lending, working capital, or fintech/payments environments
  • A commercial mindset - energised by deals and outcomes, not reporting cycles
  • Strong relationship-building ability with clients and stakeholders
  • Comfort in operational finance - cash flow, reconciliations, transaction-level thinking
  • Entrepreneurial instinct - you see opportunity and move toward it
  • Experience in a lean, fast-moving environment where ownership is high
