Sales Representative

The Sales Representative builds
presence in the local town and grows new business for the Company. The role is the local face of the Company. Its core job is to identify,
approach and convert small and medium businesses to use Company services, generating
new customers, repeat usage and sustainable parcel volume. It is a field-based,
new-business role: the person spends most of the working week out in the
territory, and works closely with the operational partner branch to onboard and
serve the customers they win.

•      New business development: prospecting, client visits,
presentations, quotations and closing, to monthly new-business and volume
targets.

•      Territory and presence building: developing the local
territory and a visible presence in the local business community.

•      Customer relationships and retention: growing repeat
usage and volume, and keeping customers confident in the Company.

•      Working with operations: partnering with the local
branch and learning how the Company operates, so sales promises match delivery.

•      Administration and reporting: keeping the pipeline and
records current and reporting against target.

Requirements

•      1 to 3 years’ sales, business development or
customer-facing experience is preferred. Attitude, personality, resilience and
sales potential are essential.

•      Strong local knowledge of the town and surrounding area
for the centre applied for, and a network in the local business community.

•      A clear, confident communicator, comfortable dealing
with business owners face to face.

•      Self-motivated, energetic and target-driven, able to
work independently in the field.

•      Computer literate (MS Office) and able to learn
operational systems.

•      A valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.

•      Courier, logistics or SME sales experience.

•      Experience with courier operating systems such as
Shiplogic or Parcel Perfect.
