Senior Bookkeeper

• Maintain accurate records of all financial
  transactions (e.g., accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations).
  
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank
  reconciliations.
  
• Process supplier and customer invoices,
  credit notes, and statements.
  
• Manage petty cash and staff expense claims.
  
• Capture and reconcile stock movement and
  inventory adjustments in collaboration with warehouse staff.
  
• Assist with stock audits and cycle counts
  from an accounting perspective.
  
• Reconcile inventory accounts with the general
  ledger.
  
• Prepare VAT, PAYE, and other SARS submissions
  and ensure compliance with regulatory deadlines.
  
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing
  processes.
  
• Generate financial reports (e.g., trial
  balance, income statements, balance sheets) for review.
  
• Support the external audit process with
  documentation and schedules.
  
• Work closely with warehouse and logistics
  teams to ensure correct costing and allocation of deliveries and stock
  movements.
  

Requirements

• Grade
  12
  
• A tertiary qualification in
  Finance/Accounting will be an advantage.
  
• Minimum of 3–5 years of bookkeeping
  experience.
  
• At least 2 years' experience within a
  warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
  
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g.,
  Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar).
  
• ​Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
