Role Summary

We are seeking an exceptional, top-tier Senior Content Marketing Manager to lead high-level content strategy, editorial copywriting, and community growth initiatives for high-growth, venture-backed startups. This is not a traditional copywriting position; it is a highly strategic editorial role combining equal parts content strategy, AI prompt engineering, heavy rewriting, and forum-based community marketing.

Our organization helps consumer brands earn audience attention by creating thoughtful, discussion-worthy content that drives genuine engagement, builds trust, and fosters long-term brand credibility. Working directly alongside key executive leadership, you will oversee the content pipeline, transform AI-generated drafts into indistinguishable human writing, and craft narrative-driven community posts that spark meaningful online conversations.

Key Responsibilities

Editorial Copywriting & AI Refinement: Heavily rewrite and edit AI-generated initial drafts to eliminate robotic phrasing, awkward structures, and generic AI "tells," producing polished, natural American English content.

Content Strategy & Topic Research: Develop, research, and execute high-impact content ideas and discussion prompts designed to educate audiences, spark meaningful conversations, and strengthen brand credibility.

Community Growth & Channel Publishing: Manage, publish, and promote engaging posts within brand-owned online communities and relevant forum channels (such as Reddit) to drive organic upvotes, comments, and long-term engagement.

Performance Optimization & Analytics: Continuously study historical post performance, community feedback, and engagement metrics to iterate on content calendars and elevate overall editorial strategy.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Professional Experience: 4+ years of professional copywriting, editing, or content marketing experience within marketing agencies or high-growth consumer startups.

English Language Mastery: Exceptional command of written English with flawless flow, rhythm, and natural American phrasing. Native or near-native writing quality is strictly required.

Advanced AI Prompting & Editing: Proven expertise utilizing modern AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) professionally, with the distinct ability to edit AI output until it is completely indistinguishable from human writing.

Community & Forum Familiarity: Direct experience with Reddit marketing, online community management, forum-based content strategies, or creating highly engaging conversational content across organic channels.

Editorial Eye & Quality Mindset: Highly detail-oriented operator who naturally detects weak hooks, unnatural pacing, and corporate jargon, holding all work to strict publication-ready standards.

Success Metrics (KPIs)

Publication-Ready Quality Rate: Consistently delivering finalized content that requires zero editorial corrections for grammar, tone, or sentence flow.

Community Engagement Velocity: Driving consistent, high-quality organic engagement (upvotes, comments, and meaningful discussions) across active community channels.
