Job Description - Social Media & Communications Coordinator
About the Role
Our Marketing team is looking for a passionate, energetic and digitally savvy Social Media & Communications Coordinator to play a key role in growing Hazendal's digital presence and ensuring engaging, consistent and on-brand communication across our various platforms.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of social media, digital communications, content creation and paid media activities across Hazendal Wine Estate, Hazendal Golf and Hazendal Wonderdal. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is equally comfortable developing creative ideas, writing compelling content, coordinating shoots, managing campaigns and analysing performance.
Experience within the hospitality, wine, tourism, luxury lifestyle or related industries will be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Hazendal's day-to-day social media presence across Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, ensuring content is engaging, relevant, consistent and aligned with brand guidelines.
Develop and execute social media content plans and campaign calendars across Hazendal Wine Estate, Hazendal Golf and Hazendal Wonderdal.
Create and coordinate digital content, including copywriting, captions, Reels, Stories, short-form video concepts and campaign content, working closely with the Creative Consultant and Design Team.
Schedule and publish content across all social media platforms, ensuring timely delivery in line with campaign plans.
Coordinate photo and video shoots, including shot lists, creative briefs, scheduling, styling, props and on-site coordination.
Develop and execute email marketing campaigns, including copywriting, image selection, briefing the Design Team and coordinating approvals.
Assist with maintaining and updating website content using CMS platforms, liaising with digital agencies and developers where required.
Manage Hazendal's Google Business Profiles, ensuring operating hours, imagery, products, menus, promotions and other information remain accurate and up to date.
Plan, implement and optimise paid digital campaigns across Meta, Google and LinkedIn.
Monitor campaign performance and contribute to weekly commercial marketing reporting by providing insights on reach, engagement, traffic, conversions and ROI.
Analyse digital performance data and recommend improvements to increase audience engagement, campaign effectiveness and social media growth.
Apply SEO best practices to website and digital content where appropriate.
Prepare clear creative briefs and coordinate the production of digital marketing collateral with the Design Team.
Contribute ideas and recommendations that strengthen Hazendal's digital presence, audience growth and overall commercial marketing performance.
Ensure all digital communication is accurate, timely, on-brand and aligned with Hazendal's overall marketing strategy.
Minimum Requirements
Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media or a related field.
2–3 years' proven experience in social media, digital marketing, communications or a similar role.
Experience managing social media platforms, content calendars and digital campaigns.
Experience managing paid advertising campaigns, preferably across Meta, Google and/or LinkedIn.
Excellent copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.
Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, algorithms and best practices.
Ability to analyse digital performance data and use insights to improve campaign performance.
Experience with Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics (GA4), Google Business Profile and digital reporting tools will be advantageous.
Understanding of SEO principles and their application to digital content.
Experience coordinating photography and video shoots and working with creative teams.
Experience working with CMS platforms, email marketing platforms and CRM systems will be advantageous.
Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365.
Experience with Figma, Monday.com or similar collaboration and project management platforms will be advantageous.
Experience working with marketing, creative or digital agencies will be advantageous.
Experience within the hospitality, wine, tourism or luxury lifestyle sectors will be advantageous.
Portfolio Requirement
