What you’ll be doing

You’ll own the social voice of one of South Africa’s most loved sports brands and make it impossible to ignore.

Social Media Strategy & Content Creation

• Build and execute a bold, always-on social media strategy that positions Mr Price Sport as the ultimate destination for sport lovers and everyday movers.


• Create high-impact, trend-led content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X and emerging platforms that stops the scroll and sparks real conversation.


• Collaborate with marketing, merchandising, e-commerce and creative teams to deliver content that converts awareness into loyalty and loyalty into sales.


• Management influencer and ambassador relations and contracts

Social Marketing & Performance

• Optimise social content and experiences that keep customers engaged and coming back.


• Partner with agencies to deliver campaigns that hit hard and deliver on time.


• Use insights and analytics to continuously improve ROI and prove the impact of every post.

Community & Insights

• Manage and grow our vibrant online community with genuine, sport-first engagement.


• Monitor conversations, respond with personality, and turn followers into brand advocates.


• Track competitors, spot emerging trends, and turn customer feedback into actionable wins.

Reporting & Results

• Deliver clear, actionable reports that show how content and campaigns are performing.


• Use data to refine strategy, boost engagement, and drive business growth.


• Deliver monthly and seasonal reports and strategy

Who we’re looking for

• A genuine sports and fitness fanatic who lives and breathes sport (playing, watching, following -  all of it).
• Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience building and executing social media strategies that deliver results.
• Deep knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X and the next big platforms.
• Proven ability to create scroll-stopping content and turn it into measurable outcomes.
• Strong storyteller with excellent communication skills and a creative edge.
• Data-driven mindset - you love the numbers as much as the creative.
• Team player who builds strong relationships across the business and with agencies.
• Relevant marketing qualification (degree or diploma).
