About the Role

CodeConnect Staffing is recruiting on behalf of a client in the software solutions industry for an experienced Software Tester to join their Customer Success team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality and stability of software products through comprehensive manual and automated testing. This role requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional who can design and execute test cases, identify defects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve software quality.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of software testing experience, with strong exposure to desktop, web and API testing, test automation and defect management.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain manual and automated test cases based on business requirements and functional specifications.
  
• Execute functional, integration, compatibility and regression testing to ensure software quality and stability.
  
• Develop and maintain reusable automated test scripts using tools such as Postman and Node.js/Chai.
  
• Identify, document, track and follow up on software defects to ensure timely resolution.
  
• Take ownership of the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environment, ensuring system stability and readiness.
  
• Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements, user stories and system changes.
  
• Maintain accurate testing documentation, including test plans, results, defect reports and release notes.
  
• Track testing activities, defects and progress using Azure DevOps.
  
• Communicate testing outcomes, risks and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
  
• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, efficiency and overall product quality.
  

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a software testing or quality assurance role.
  
• Proven experience in both manual and automated software testing.
  
• Practical experience testing desktop applications, web applications and APIs.
  
• Proficiency in testing tools such as Postman, Node.js/Chai and Azure DevOps.
  
• Experience in test case design, execution, defect tracking and troubleshooting.
  
• Basic knowledge of SQL, Internet Information Services (IIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and software development processes.
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational and communication skills.
  
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  

Advantageous

• ISTQB certification or other relevant software testing qualifications.
  
• Previous experience within the IT or software development industry.
