Solution Sales / Business Developer National Permanent

What you'll need:

• Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate)
• 3–5 years' proven sales experience (electrical, lighting or networking/IoT experience is a strong advantage)
• A self-motivated, target-driven approach with a genuine hunter's mindset
• Confident communication skills — you can present, train and build rapport with resellers and customers
• A valid driver's licence and own reliable transport
• Resilience, a winning attitude, and a real drive to earn
• Strong attention to detail and a results-focused way of working

What you'll be doing:

• Managing a healthy sales pipeline from first contact through to close
• Converting leads into sales by matching customer needs to the right solutions
• Canvassing and prospecting for new business in the electrical, lighting and smart home/IoT space
• Visiting customers to assess needs and present products and solutions
• Negotiating pricing and contracts, and preparing quotes and agreements
• Running product training and sales presentations for resellers and customers
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with resellers, customers and key accounts
• Reporting on sales activity and pipeline status
• Keeping customer and lead records accurate and up to date
• Staying on top of market trends and competitor activity in the home automation / IoT space
• Handling customer information with confidentiality
