â A NQF 8 qualification in Film, Animation, Gaming or Sound
â A minimum of 5 years of work experience within the creative media sector
â A minimum of two years of lecturing experience within one of the relevant specializations at an educational institution
âEstablished network within the creative media industry
â Own transport and driver's license
â Good project management, administration and coordination skills
â Experience in working and grading student work on an LMS system
â Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
â Ability
to support and guide students through their WIL journey and challenges
â Passionate about industry and student career prospects
â Professional conduct in representing the institution
â Initiative in creating placement or industry-student
collaboration opportunities
â Organised and attention to detail
â Identify, coordinate, administer and secure placement opportunities for students during their WIL blocks
â Coordinate the student selection process to ensure all
student cohorts across disciplines meet the required WIL hours.
â Build, grow and maintain industry relationship networks to
secure ongoing opportunities that exist
âEnsure a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between SAE and
the industry partner are in place and signed before placement.
â Communicate and confirm placement with the student and parent/sponsor
at least two weeks prior to placement
â Analyse and provide feedback on industry partner requirements
and trends to advance student placement
âInduct and prepare students for the workplace and provide support and guidance
âGrade and provide feedback to student WIL submissions and
track and report on their progress
â Provide evidence or conduct disciplinary action for the
breach of the student code of conduct
â Administer
and record evidence to meet the institution's internal quality assurance requirements
and standards
