Sybase Database Administrator (DBA 02 – IT Operations)

We are seeking a highly skilled Sybase Database
Administrator to join our IT Operations team. In this role, you will be
responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our Sybase
environments across mission -critical systems. You will work closely with
application teams, infrastructure engineers, and business stakeholders to
deliver reliable database services that support enterprise operations.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5+
  years experience as a Sybase DBA (ASE, Replication Server, IQ
  advantageous).
  
• Strong
  knowledge of Sybase architecture, performance tuning, and database
  optimisation.
  
• Solid
  experience managing high -availability and replication environments.
  
• Strong
  SQL scripting and familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
  
• Experience
  in backup/restore strategies, disaster recovery, and monitoring tools.
  
• Ability
  to work under pressure in complex enterprise environments.
  

Nice -to -Have Skills

• Experience
  with other DBMS technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
  
• Knowledge
  of batch processing environments and financial/telecom systems.
  
• Understanding
  of automation tools and DevOps concepts.
