The Role
The Timetable Team are looking for a natural problem solver to take a critical role in the production and maintenance of the University timetable, delivering the best academic experience to students and educators. Don’t worry if you’ve no experience of timetabling software, we’ll teach you everything you need to know; we’re looking for the right person to join a high performing team working in a high-pressure environment. The ideal candidate will bring a curious nature, exceptional organisational skills, an ability to remain calm under pressure and be a clear, empathetic communicator.
As a Timetable Co-ordinator, you will need to communicate effectively with a wide range of academic and professional services colleagues. You will be required to work across multiple IT systems, so need strong digital confidence.
You will need to take ownership of your schools, collaborating with key stakeholders, to make informed scheduling decisions. A readiness to take speedy and decisive action on large numbers of queries at critical periods without becoming overwhelmed will be essential.
Our busiest period runs from June through October as we prepare for the new academic year and welcome students to the University. During these months, annual leave is restricted, and occasional flexible working hours may be needed to support critical dates.
Informal enquires should be directed to Ross Guy, Senior Timetable Manager at [email protected].
To apply please upload your CV and cover letter evidencing how your skills and experciences align to the person specification as outlined within the job description.
