Trails Guide

• Conduct guided walking safaris and game drives in a safe, engaging, and highly informative manner 
  
• Interpret local ecology, wildlife behaviour, birdlife, and environmental features knowledgeably for guests 
  
• Maintain open, fluid communication with Lodge Managers regarding all guest movements, preferences, and concerns 
  
• Ensure complete safety protocols are followed for guests, staff, and reserve animals at all times 
  
• Manage the timeous, conscientious care and maintenance of all game viewing vehicles and specialized guiding equipment 
  
• Participate actively in reserve research programs, ecosystem monitoring, and hands -on conservation activities 
  
• Collaborate closely with Front of House teams and lodge staff to constantly uphold the reserve’s 5 -star service standard 
  

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of active experience working as a professional Guide 
  
• Driving Licence: Valid driver’s license with 4x4 driving experience and a Public Driver's Permit (PrDP) 
  
• Core Certifications: Valid Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH) and a FGASA Level 1 Certificate (minimum) 
  
• Legal Registration: Must be officially registered with NDT
  
• First Aid: Valid First Aid Level 1 
  
• Education: Grade 12 Certificate is required
